Completion was further delayed when I dropped the original panel after working on it for six months and cracked off a corner. I had to start over again.
Then, I got the bright idea that since I was starting over, I would change out the blue in my original color plan for a different blue. I learned that decision led to color disaster and I had to repaint the image yet again.
Artistic resilience is sometimes a matter of accepting aggravating setbacks as part of the creative process and committing to finish the work despite them.
